Beaded Elk Dew Claw Tipi Bag

                                       $200.00 + $ 8.00 S.H & I

Very nice parfleche, possibles, storage or tipi bag made from the back side of two elk feet showing the dew claws. This is an
older piece and is in nice condition. Natives used these bags to store berries that were collected during botany season.

The bag measures 11" x 6". The hide is a great natural reddish color. The bottom fringe is soft tanned elk leather and is
soiled, but in good condition with no bits missing.

There is a band of bead work that is about 7/8" wide. The seed beads are predominantly white with an orange and yellow
pattern and have green bead outlines. The beads are stitched on in the Sioux lazy style. All beads are present and none are
broken.

The interior of the bag is lined with a fabric that looks like it was made ca. 1930's-1950's or so. When I bought the bag it
contained rabbit tails and I've had a dickens of a time getting rid of most of the fluff but some of it remains and will be there
until the buyer decides to clean it out.

The top of the bag is covered in a soft leather deer hide flap. There are some fringe pieces missing and one of the ties that
connects to the top is gone and the other is almost ready to go, it's barely hanging on by a thread.

This is a great bag for display; the hide is not dry rotted and the hair is firm. Really nice coloration, too. You will be proud to
show this one off.

Group of three stone Axes

                                    $199.00 + $ 10.00 S. H. & I

The first axe shown as ref # 1 in the pictures is 6" in length. The material looks like serpentine, it's quite fibrous and micaceous
at the same time with an overall green color.
The second axe shown as ref # 2 in the pictures is 4" in length and is another volcanic type of material, as I can see micro
crystalline habit. There are some chips to the edge as well as the base so please be sure to view the large size photos.
The third axe shown as ref # 3 is only a partial but wow what an edge on this well-used piece. Remarkable, really when you think
of how long it took to create.
